DFIs seek to foster responsible investment practices, and to lead by example, also when it comes to responsible tax. In doing so, they can have a strong demonstration effect on private investors and a direct influence over the companies they invest in. Therefore, EDFI members have endorsed a set of principles for their approach to responsible tax practices.
