SIMEST, the Italian Development Finance Institution has appointed Alessandra Ricci as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Born in Rome in 1969, Ms. Ricci graduated in Business and Economics from LUISS Guido Carli University.

She has an extensive experience in the international finance sector. She started her career in 1995 at Mediocredito Centrale S.p.A. (Unicredit Group), where she covered management positions for 10 years in the Project Financing sector, dealing with international projects in Europe and emerging markets, as advisor and lead arranging role. She joined SACE in September 2005, where she held positions with ever-increasing responsibility until she became Chief Business Officer and Chief Marketing & Underwriting Officer.

She is a member on SACE Fct Board of Directors (SACE’S product company active in factoring and trade finance business) and has been up to May 2016 a member of SACE BT (SACE’S product company acting in the short term business).
